Roscoe Wind Council - General Meeting: The RWC holds general meetings every Thursday at 6:00pm at a Roscoe Area business. We are interested in hearing from any business that wishes to host an RWC meeting.
Roscoe Wind Council Meeting
We will be having meetings every Tuesday until the Wind Festival. The meetings will be held at 6:30 P.M.
RWC General Meeting
August 16th, 2007: The RWC will meet at 6:00 PM at Smackers Restaurant in downtown Roscoe. The agenda for the meeting will include planning commitees for the 1st Annual West Texas Wind Festival and confirmation of RWC officers nominated at the previous week's meeting. All interested parties are welcome to attend.

Ride the Wind 07 Bikeathon
October 6th, 2007: This 1st annual "Ride the Wind" bikeathon will take place on October 6th, beginning at 8:00 am at Highland High School. The course will wind through the midst of the world’s most intensive wind energy region and will feature spectacular, up close views of wind turbines. There will be a 35 mile route for adults and a 7-10 mile route for children. The event will be followed up by some healthy grub and live music. Entry fees of $20 for the adult course and $15 for the children’s course will beneft the Children's Miracle Network in Abilene. West Texas Wind Harvest Festival
October 20th, 2007: The 1st Annual West Texas Wind Harvest Festival will be held in downtown Roscoe on Saturday, October 20th. The festival will be a day long event featuring wind energy exhibits, a local job fair, children's activities, vendors, food, live music and more. For more information click here. Vendor registraton is now closed. Vendor setup will run from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Please join us for the event and bring your whole family!

Introduction to Wind Power Systems
October 29th - 31st: A three day series of lectures on the Technology and Economics of Wind Power, held by the Wind Science and Engineering Research Center and Outreach & Distance Education Center at Texas Tech University. Chandra Eggemeyer from Texas Yes! will be a guest at the meeting to discuss what that organization may have to offer in terms of support for RWC initiatives. Roscoe Wind Council Meeting
There will be a Wind Council Meeting on Tuesday. November 3, 2009.
Roscoe Wind Festival
Third Annual Wind festival is being planned. All events will be posted at a later date. We are also going to be celebrating the completion of the wind farms making Roscoe Wind Farm the largest wind farm in the world!
Carbn Nation Premiere
March 28th, 2010 - Carbon Nation, filmmaker Peter Byck's exceptional documentary on climate change solutions, will premeire at the Environament Film Festival in Washington, D.C. The film features a segment on the Roscoe Wind Farm and locals Cliff & David Etheredge and Vickey Haynes make appearances.
West Texas Wind Festival
October 16th, 2010 - The 4th annual West Texas Wind Festival will be held in Roscoe, Texas. Last year's fetstival featured a number of amazing events including helicoptor rides over the Roscoe Wind Farm.
